IT Technician/Manager - Kingston Upon Hull, Yorkshire.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

FTE Salary £25,000 - £30,000 (actual salary £15,202-£18,245)

The Company

Our client is a well established housing association with a rich heritage and passion for providing quality homes and services. We currently have an opportunity for a IT Technician/Manager to join their team in Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding in Yorkshire, on a part time basis . Our client is currently in need of a skilful, enthusiastic, proactive and confident IT Technician/manager with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, a keen eye for detail, excellent time management and organisational skills with the capability to deliver excellent customer service.

The Role

Managing the associations IT network

Performing system updates and backups

Monitoring and fixing workstations, peripherals/hardware issues

Ensuring support calls are dealt with in a professional and timely manner

Developing and maintaining IT policies and procedures

Managing the IT Budget

Managing 3rd party IT service providers

Developing IT management reports

Developing and implementing the IT strategy

Leading IT user group meetings - overseeing support issues through to managing strategic projects

Requirements

Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 7 / MS Office

Supporting and configuring Windows Server Management environments, Exchange Server and Active Directory

Solving hardware and software issues

PC setup and configuration

Identifying and delivering IT improvements

Key Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients

Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner

Ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information down the line to concerned teams for smoother execution

Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence

Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues
