Electrical Project Engineer

£40-45,000 + Package

Due to increased work load in the water section, an experienced electrical project engineer will be required to work as part of my client's specialist water team based in the Yorkshire.

The key purpose of the role will be to manage M&E projects of varying levels of detail and complexity, regular liaison with the client, manage subcontractors and our own staff.

Must be conversant in the installation of M&E equipment and assist and facilitate commissioning of control systems, water related instruments and equipment. It will be a requirement to undertake required paper work to support this role. Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Manage all contract work assigned to the role, in particular, maintenance, repair and installation works in a professional and businesslike manner, ensuring that deadlines are achieved, within agreed budget and to the satisfaction of the client.

* Effective day to day management of direct reporting staff and teams, including recruitment & training.

* Ensure clear planning schedules are drawn up for all contracts and agreements showing key deadline dates, tasks to be undertaken, staff numbers involved and associated budget costs.

* Close liaison with clients on all matters relating to contracts, agreements, tenders and other related issues ensuring that high levels of customer service are maintained and communication lines are clear.

* Monitor the performance of sub-contractors to ensure that work is carried out to the required standard.You must be able to demonstrate significant experience of M&E contracting in the water industry and/or have significant experience of commissioning in the Water Industry. Experience required in all types of Instruments, profibus, telemetry systems, pumps, equipment and automation controls. A good understanding of Electrical regulations is required. You should as a minimum hold a HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 2391 test and inspection. Good commercial judgment together with strong leadership and good team building, delegation and motivation skills are required
