Job purpose:

To generate new business opportunities resulting in revenue from new clients.

Key Accountabilities:

* Identify, lead and deliver new business with new clients
* Research and identify relevant and realistic new business leads
* Build relationships with prospective clients resulting in pitch opportunities
* Proactively deliver new business leads resulting in pitches and incremental business
* Create, manage and convert pitches and proposals into sustainable opportunities
* Work collaboratively with Department Heads and topic experts on pitches and proposals for new business
* Develop incremental revenue through the Group and their clients
* Represent Burrows on all group new business forums and reporting requirements and build effective relationships with the Group new business teams


* Carry out any reasonable duties as identified by your line manager or team leader
* Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations
* Ensure compliance with our ISO standards
* Fully participate in the company's professional development plan programmes
* Maximise own ability to produce quality work, on time, and to brief, utilising best skills and available technology
* Work in accordance with the company's Human Resources policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements

Experience and knowledge

* Minimum of five years proven new business experience within a digital agency
* Proven experience of prospect identification and lead generation
* Proven experience of generating new business opportunities and demonstrating success
* Proven experience in developing pitches and proposals
* Experience of current and emerging digital media technologies
* Be able to converse with digital clients/experts and can apply their digital knowledge to potential opportunities
* Capability to convincingly presenting digital proposals to digital clients.
* Proven experience of using social media as a new business tool


* Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross departments with a variety of people
* Have first class interpersonal skills to work within a team in different contexts


* Degree educated
* ICT Literate (including all Microsoft Office packages)


* Able to work overtime as and when required
* Holds a clean, current driving license
* Able to travel to visit clients as required - sometimes abroad
