Our client is a global manufacturer of who use leading-edge technology to provide their clients across a range of high-tech sectors with precision engineered products. Their in-house facility provides clients with a truly turn-key solution - attracting a portfolio of the world's top blue-chip companies. Due to increased workload they now require a Quality Technician to ensure processes are in place and adhered to enabling customers to receive right first time parts as ordered.

The Role

Assist inspection of goods/services as required
Advise operators on good inspection practice
Conduct training in metrology techniques (including FARO) as required
Creation/Completion of Inspection reports
Signing off of inspection reports as required
Supervision of inspection activity as required
Assist the QA Manager to ensure continued accreditation of any Quality Management Certifications that are held by the company
Assist QA Manager with liaison and co-ordination of activities with 3rd party certification and audit bodies.
Assist QA Manager with the management, maintenance and development of the Company Business Operating System, BOS, and the procedures and documents therein.
Conduct internal audits defined in the internal audit schedule under ISO (Apply online only) QMS and ensure adherence including carrying out internal audits on both documented procedures and manufacturing processes.
Drive through improvements in the BOS and work with all departments in ensuring the system is effective and efficient.
Assist with the acquisition of new Quality Certifications for the company that are deemed appropriate by the Directors.
Document data dossier completion.
Act as a point of contact for customer concerns, as required. Assist the QA Manager to co-ordinate the response, corrective and preventative actions necessary to resolve any concern issues.
Assist the QA Manager to ensure that Internal and Supplier non-conformance 8D reports are completed to acceptable and agreed levels and implemented effectively.
Assist the QA Manager to monitor customer and internal non-conformances and analyse data to put forward improvements to reduce the rate of occurrence.
Actively promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

The Person

Minimum of three year experience working in a Quality Role
Experienced in using various metrology equipment
Use of FARO equipment
Use of Quality Tools (Pareto, 5 Why’s, Fishbone etc.)
Working to ISO9001 and/or similar standards
