Our client based in South East London is looking to recruit a new Contracts Manager to join their team on an interim basis.
You will ensure all procurement activities and contracts are delivered professionally to time, cost & quality requirements.

Your duties will include:

*Undertake the procurement of works, goods and services adhering to Contract Standing Orders and procurement guidelines, UK legislation and EU regulations.
*Ensuring all projects have a formal briefs, specifications and procurement plans and tender documents, focussing on time, cost and quality, which is reflected in contract documentation and is robustly managed, in accordance with the contract, to ensure the effective delivery of the Asset Management Strategy.
*Build effective relationships and ensure effective engagement and consultation at all stages with key stakeholders, including residents, leaseholders, resident groups, Council staff, including procurement and post completion.
*Deliver a customer focussed service which meets the needs and acknowledge aspirations of our customers.
*Manage construction projects or term contracts (schemes) with an annual value of up to £14m in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales and quality criteria.
*Ensure contractors and consultants are properly briefed, report progress regularly, work effectively; delivery, value for money, resident satisfaction and meet Lewisham homes objectives.
*Manage the contract performance of the consultants and contractors that are engaged to deliver the schemes contracts collaboratively through performance measurement of outputs. Lead on the resolution of contract disputes and ensure they are escalated to the Head of Planned Delivery where necessary.
*Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and delivery standards for managing the delivery of Asset Investment Programme.

The following skills are required:

*Experience in managing construction projects and term contracts with a value of up to £14m per annum.
*Experience in dealing with a range of issues concerning construction delivery
*Proven experience in managing/supervising staff
