Business Development Manager

My growing and well established client in Basildon are looking for an experienced BDM to join an expanding team.

Business Development Manager
 Develop and grow new client partnerships for the contracting and material supply divisions.
 Promote the company’s new contracting services to existing and potential clients.
 Identify and pursue commercial markets outside new build housing.
 Investigate and target the Local Authority and Housing Association market.
 Visit site managers to promote material supply division.
 Maintain and develop relationships with key clients.
 Produce weekly and monthly reports to support KPIs.
 Define short, medium and long term goals in line with business strategy.
 Identify business opportunities.
 Improve the company’s market position and contribute to its financial growth.
 Support senior management in long term development and vision for growth.

Person Specification
 Self-motivated, enthusiastic and results orientated with the drive and determination to succeed in a competitive environment.
 Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
 A commitment to delivering exemplary customer service.
 Smart, articulate and ambitious.
 Ability to work under pressure and to meet target deadlines.
 Good technical knowledge and skills.
 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels from small sub-contractors to large, national construction companies.
 Computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
 Good administrative and organisational skills.
 Several years of construction industry sales experience.
