About the role:

A top Engineering design business  is seeking to recruit an experienced environmental consultant to professionally work within a team in delivering high quality environmental deliverables to both budget and programme.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead Engineer for small portfolio of Rail Projects
- Assist in delivery in one or several areas of expertise that includes: BREEAM related projects; GIS; Carbon Assessment Reporting; Ecology; Noise; Sustainability
- Assist in identifying suitable sub- consultants/contractors for improved environmental performance of the section
- Assisting in Technical Training and development of the staff including Line Management duties
- Achieve the targets agreed regarding staff utilisation and project costs and income.
- Effectively manage project performance and take necessary corrective action to ensure commitments made are delivered.
- Ensure the safety of staff, and others, affected by the operations of effective systems and procedures.
- Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff, and others, affected by the operations
- Assist to maintain standards within the team that ensure clients are satisfied and that professional output is of the highest quality maintaining reputation.
- Assist with the delivery of the company`s Environmental Management System implementation to ISO14001:2004
- Ensure projects are delivered in a collaborative manner

What you will need:

- 4 years` experience in railway or infrastructure related industrial experience.
