An exciting role as arisen for a diligent and passionate SEN Teacher to help shape and develop a new service in the Surrey area. Our client is a reputable provider of Specialist Education and Residential services for Children and Young People with a range of Complex needs including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), Challenging Behaviours and Learning Disabilities (LD).

This service is commutable from the following areas:Burgess Hill, Crawley, Croydon, Maidstone, Guildford and Bromley.

The Role - SEN Teacher - Learning Disabilities

Working within a medium sized school with a maximum of 40 learners, this service is specifically designed around the students profile's to ensure learning if fun and engaging. Working with small intimate classes the education will be tailored at a pace that suits the individuals but challenging enough to ensure they have the best opportunity to achieve academic success.

The Candidate SEN Teacher - Learning Disabilities

Reporting directly into the Head Teacher you will need to have experience in working closely with children and young adults with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. You will need to be enthusiastic and passionate with a good sense of humour to encourage and build self esteem. Knowledge in developing a service or working in a new school would be ideal. As a SEN Teacher in the service you will have the opportunity to assist in the shaping and developing of the school as part of a team to ensure OFSTED regulations are met and positive outcomes are achieved for all users. You will report directly into the Head Teacher.

Criteria- SEN Teacher - Learning Disabilities

** Current SEN Teaching experience within a Specialist School

** Good understanding of OFSTED and a track record of successful outcomes

** Experience in working with Learning Disabilities including Autism and Aspergers.

** Qualified Teacher with current classroom experience

** A natural leader

Salary - SEN Teacher - Learning Disabilities

The salary for this position is in line with the current Main Teacher Pay Scale inclusive of the fringe benefit.
