Marketing Communications & Content Manager

The organisation in question is a highly professional financial services company based in Knutsford, which has a fantastic working environment.

This position will have responsibility for the full marketing mix, with an emphasis on building the brand and the external profile, managing strategic PR and building relationships. Also, innovative marketing campaigns, planning and development of the yearly marketing plan, full responsibility for marketing communications.

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing skills. As a communications & Content manager, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented. You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies Digital skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.

Basic Salary of £25,000 - £30,000 subject to experience plus lucrative Bonus scheme

- Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers
- Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of communications mediums, You may also be required to work on the layout of content
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Superior project management and time management skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages


- Substantial communications experience in financial service organisations
- Experience of developing and implementing communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness
- Experience of advising senior managers on complex communications challenges, including crisis communications
- Experience of successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish
- Experience of successfully influencing staff at all levels within an organisation
- Experience of writing for a variety of audiences
- Involvement in managing an intranet and internal communications

Knowledge and skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector
