Are you a confident computer literate database user with an organised approach, practical experience of handling museum collections and working with information to make collections accessible?

This is a project post for a Documentation Officer based at a National Museum in Manchester.

This post will support their Conservation and Collections Care Team in delivering a collections storage relocation project within the site. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining authoritative collections records for around 1100 objects before, during and after the move, ensuring that data is systematically captured and location control is robust.

They are looking for a self-motivated individual with meticulous attention to detail who can execute a wide variety of tasks to an exacting standard. You will have good working knowledge of collections management databases, museum standards and team working. Also required are good problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

Please note this is a fixed term role for 4 months and the salary will be pro rata'd accordingly
