A R&D tax credits specialists firm is looking for a permanent full-time team manager to join its highly successful and growing team.

The ideal candidate would be a qualified and experienced tax accountant that has experience in dealing with R&D tax relief claims.

The role offers the flexibility to be based at home or work in the company's office, based in Bolton.

You need to have knowledge of HMRC's CIRD80000 R&D tax relief and customer facing experience. You will be engaged managing their existing clients and mentoring junior team members.

The Role

- You will be required to use your knowledge and experience to help their clients in making claims for R&D Tax relief
- You will provide tax guidance to clients and team juniors relating to R&D tax relief claims.
- You direct juniors in the preparation of costing schedules, Company Tax Returns and tax computations in support of R&D tax relief claims.
- You will review the R&D report and calculations prior to submission to HMRC.
- Communicate with clients and HMRC, ensuring claims are processed efficiently.
- Manage overall team assignments and workflow
- Help to establish and maintain strong client relationships with both existing and new clients
- Progress business development opportunities and to pitch for work with both new and existing clients.
- As the firm expands in to other areas of taxation you will take a key role in the development of the service.

Ideal Candidate:

- Is a qualified tax professional and has experience dealing with tax claims from a small boutique or an accountancy firm.
- Is highly professional, personable and presents well in client meetings.
- Has experience in managing a team and their development.
- Has a good understanding of KPI's and project management tools
- Is an experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Word etc..
- Is prepared to travel to client meetings anywhere in the UK.
- Is able to project manage a portfolio of clients
- Has strong communication skills both verbally, over emails and in front of clients

You must have an excellent command of English, be enthusiastic, presentable, have a helpful personality and be willing to work hard to establish your professional presence in our company.

They value work-life balance and will allow working from home. Travel to clients will be required so you must have your own transport.
