The role

We are seeking a smart and organised individual who has experience of working within a high functioning Finance team. This is a great opportunity to join the business for up to 9 months Maternity Leave cover. Therefore, it would best suit an individual who is able to demonstrate a competent level of knowledge as well as a drive to offer internal service to the highest level.

Whatever your reason for applying for this role, you will need to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to deliver effective Finance support to internal stakeholders. Whilst we are a small team, you will have the opportunity to have a big impact, but this will depend on your individual approach.
You will be required to manage and prioritise your own workload, often working towards strict deadlines, and therefore a self-motivated, methodical and responsive approach is essential.

The principal activities will include;

- Process in a timely and accurate manner all paperwork related to sales orders and invoices, ensuring PO's are raised and tracked
- Daily monitoring and recording of bank receipts
- Credit checking in addition to debt chasing and analysis
- Liaising cross-functionally across the business
- Processing and monitoring company credit card purchases
- Processing expenses and travel invoices

Desired Skills and Experience

- Minimum 12 months' experience in a Finance or Accounts Assistant role
- Be AAT qualified or studying for AAT or similar qualification
- Exceptional communication skills the and ability to liaise effectively with people of all levels whilst maintaining confidentiality
- Methodical and accurate at pace, with large volume of administration tasks
- Excellent IT skills including confidence in using both in-house and client driven finance software
- Ability to organise own workload and use initiative once skilled and comfortable with tasks & activities
