An opportunity has arisen for an experienced infrastructure support technician at the UK head office in Leatherhead. The applicant must have strong network skills along with solid experience of supporting a Windows server environment & virtualisation technologies such as VMware. Firewall/switch configuration & troubleshooting experience is essential along with the ability to assist users via remote access tools, you may also be required to visit other offices to investigate more complex WAN issues.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Be proactive and committed to improving their customer service standard at all times.
- Respond to and resolve all network queries received via Helpdesk package, email and telephone quickly, accurately and consistently at all times.
- Produce exceptional and accurate written business communication in line with company policies and guidelines regarding both format and content.
- Be knowledgeable and courteous in advising staff at all times.
- Take details of queries accurately and fully.
- Process a high volume of work consistently.
- Work as part of a team and remain flexible at all times.
- Take ownership for assigned projects and tasks, completing them within designated timeframes
- Liaising with vendors and contractors
- Assist Helpdesk team during busy periods

Essential Skills:

- Knowledge of SonicWALL / Cisco Meraki firewall configuration and management
- Knowledge of HP ProCurve / Cisco Meraki switch configuration and management
- Knowledge of VoIP & hosted telephony systems
- Knowledge of storage area networks / iSCSI configuration
- 2-3 years' experience in a network support role
- Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/R2 support
- VMware vSphere 5.x / 6.x configuration and management
- Citrix XenApp Server 6.x /7.x configuration and management
- Windows 7/ Windows 8/ Windows 10 support
- Knowledge of Office 2016 /O365 suite
- Use of remote desktop solutions such as Team Viewer
- Able to prioritise work and multi-task.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Good customer service skills
- Fluent and highly literate in English
- Proven exceptional business communication skills both written and verbal
- Full driving licence & own transport

It would be of benefit if the candidate also possessed the following skill sets:
- Network certification with Cisco or similar vendor
- Microsoft certification such as MCP/MSCA/MCSE
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Veeam/Rubrik backup solutions
- Microsoft RDS configuration and management
- Knowledge of Cisco Hyperflex configuration and management
