This reputable technology solutions provider is looking to recruit an IT Network Support Engineer.

Skills Required: Exchange Server (all versions), MS SBS 2008/2011, MS Windows Server 2008 / 2012 (including all the built-in applications), Hyper-V, Office 365 Migrations, Wi-Fi best practices, Data Infrastructure Cabling experience and a good working knowledge of Network Infrastructure (managed switches and Routers).

The Network Engineer Role:

- Responsible for providing IT Network Support and troubleshooting, both over the phone and face to face on local client sites within Microsoft Server environments.
- Installing and configuring third party software packages
- Working as part of a close-knit IT Support Team working with a large number of clients but particularly focussing on those within the Private, SME sector.
- Day to Day monitoring of client sites, advising the clients and deploying new equipment and software.
- Providing a high level of customer service to a wide range of users, including those with minimal IT knowledge.
- Monitoring, maintaining and upgrading the company's internal data centre; consisting of HP Servers, iSCSI SAN and NAS storage units and WatchGuard Firewalls, Hyper-V Hosts and MS Windows 2012 Virtual Machines.
- Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and management problems, be it on a direct basis, or by referring a need to one of our sales team to be followed up
- Providing on-site and helpdesk support

The Network Engineer Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have solid previous experience of providing Networking support to a diverse customer base, ideally through working for an IT Support Services company / with external customers. Ideally with 4 years' minimum commercial experience.

Requirements include:
- Technical background
- Knowledge of Exchange Server, Windows Server and Network Infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft Windows (XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10) and Microsoft Office (2007/2010/2013 and 2016) is essential
- Experience with one or more server operating systems (Server 2008 R2 /SBS 2008 / SBS 2011 / Server 2012) essential (experience managing/maintaining networks of 20+ users is essential)
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 / SharePoint is highly desirable)
- Understanding of DNS / DHCP / Active Directory
- Excellent communication and verbal reasoning skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks accordingly, to hit deadlines under pressure.
- Be prepared to work 'Out of Hours' by either visiting customer sites or performing remote access repairs and diagnostics.
- Excellent PC hardware experience; ability to install, configure and maintain PC's and/or other related hardware.

A Commercial Van, Uniform, Laptop, Tablet, Tools and Mobile Phone will be provided to the successful candidate.

This position is commutable from Liverpool, Wirral, Widnes, Chester and Warrington
