This provider of print services has an immediate opportunity to join their ambitious company in their central Glasgow office.

The role:
You will be the primary contact for external and internal customers. You will be responsible for making judgments and decisions that will effect the operation of the business in order to service the customers needs. You will be responsible for effectively communicating the needs of the customer to the production teams.

In other words, find out what is needed, work out what can be done and when, get it done.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Take questions and requirements from customers. Provide answers to these.
- Take from the customer information, materials and specifications of their requirements.
- Collate and store the gathered information, determine and gather any missing items.
- Generate quotes. Review and edit to ensure accuracy.
- Follow up quotes in order to convert them to jobs.
- Arrange samples and send proofs - follow them up.
- Ensure timing requirements are communicated to production
- Monitor production progress.
- Get quotes from external suppliers. Place orders with appropriate suppliers.
- Use our digital printing machines to print a number of urgent items.
- Use our guillotine to finish/trim the printed items.

Person Specification:

- Previous experience in the printing or related industry.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, accurately and in a methodical manner.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Highly organised and process driven.
- Great attention to detail.
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office and cloud sharing filing systems.
- Previous experience of a CRM is a desirable.
- Self assured with a proactive, can do attitude.
- Tidily dressed and professional appearance.
- Personable, friendly and approachable both face to face and over the phone.

Work Environment:

- Office based, city centre location.
- Sitting and standing as part of the day.
- Occasional heavy lifting of up to 30kg.
- Typing, writing, use of simple machinery (after training).

If you can deliver the results they need, then the role will grow.

Part time - four hours a day, five days a week - £15k to £19k pro rata, dependant on experience. The hours could grow depending on business growth.
