First things first: Merry Christmas! Here's to an exciting 2017!

This company develops brainy, innovative software for high-profile clients.

The company is fun, fast-growing, open and ambitious.

They are looking for brainy, innovative devs to join their team, to help them build and release cool things faster, better and smarter.

They are based in Solihull near Birmingham, just off the M42, with good bus, train and cycle links. (And good canal links, for that matter.)

In return for your talents (see below), here's what you can expect from them:

- A great informal company environment, with lively back-chat, good team spirit and a "family feel".
- Opportunity to expand your skills and to progress your career.
- The chance to work with global-brand clients.
- The chance to be part of an awesome, award-winning dev team.
- Competitive salary, pension and perks.
- Subsidised gym membership, and a FREE smoothie bar.
- Pool table and darts board in our HQ.
- Shower, lockers and changing space for cyclists.
- Generous bonus scheme based on share-of-profit.
- Flexible working hours.

Current employees say that the company is, among other things, "fun", "innovative", "a great place to learn new tricks", "friendly", "supportive", "challenging", "a happy place to work".

What about you? Well, you'll certainly need to be a dev guru in:

- JavaScript, jQuery
- [S]CSS

and it would help if you're pretty hot on many of the following:

- Laravel and at least one other MVC framework, ideally Codeigniter
- Design patterns
- ElasticSearch, MongoDB
- Vue.js ideally (Angular.js / React.js / Backbone / Handlebars also useful)
- Phantom.js
- Node.js
- Bootstrap / Foundation
- Amazon AWS including EC2, S3, RDS, ElasticBeanstalk
- Docker
- Grunt, Gulp
- npm, Bower
- Git, and Github and/or Gitlab
- Memcached
- Xpath
- Linux administration
- Apache and nginx management
- Test-driven development using Behat
- Continuous Integration
- UI / UX optimisation
- Scrum and/or Kanban agile development frameworks and practices

If you can bring lots of the above to the table, plus enthusiasm, energy, a can-do attitude along with a proven ability to get things done, a desire to contribute and to help steer and shape the projects you work on, they definitely want to talk to you.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Face-to-face teamwork is a key part of what the company does, and for this reason remote workers will not be considered. Other than that, the company welcomes applications from everybody, whatever your background, nationality, philosophy, ethnicity, or mobility; male, female, gay, straight, so long as you can help to make their software rock.
