This manufacturer of high quality stainless steel conveying systems and special purpose machinery, is looking to recruit a Proposal Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:-
- To produce outline designs for factory layouts, conveyor systems and special purpose handling equipment.
- To work with the proposals team to ensure that all customer requirements and specifications are met.
- Working with the proposals team, apply costs/sales value to customer proposals and prepare quotes
- To work as part of the company development team to improve and develop the company range of products
- To liaise with OEM suppliers on equipment to be integrated into production lines.

Person
- Applicants must have experience in the design of production lines using conveyors or special purpose machinery for the food and drinks, food automation or similar industry.
- Qualified to at least HNC or similar
- Self-motivated and be able to produce cost effective designs within short lead times.
- Capable of working alone or as part of a team.
- Capable of working with Engineers to evaluate customer requirements, and producing design schemes for customer approval, that are compatible with our capabilities. Some customer and supplier contact will also be required.

Based at their head offices next to London Luton Airport.
