Are you an experienced Analyst with a proven track record in Data Analysis? Do you want to work for a local organisation where you can make a positive difference? If yes, then come join them.

This pet insurance agency is looking to hire a Claims Analyst to support the business through the delivery of accurate management information reporting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in modelling underwriting performance and helping translate this into effective pricing strategies for the UK portfolio, as well as identifying market trends across operational and commercial activities. Key things you'll be doing will include
- Analysis of claims performance, identifying trends and features, producing claims projection models using a number of appropriate actuarial and statistical methods.
- Interpretation and communication of suitable recommendations from the analysis to Department Head & Senior Management
- Work with claims operational management in order to design and implement robust management information and analysis to enable decision making and support strategic claims initiatives
- Undertake statistical and probability analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities by key driver across the business.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of effective statistical models and MI in relation to the company's underwriting performance and pricing policies.
- Conduct regular and ad hoc pricing analyses.
- Model, interpret and monitor data to identify market trends and new/changing rating factors.
- Assist in the presentation of statistics and reports to Management.
- Liaise directly with Finance and Claims teams.

What they would like you to have

- Degree level Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent
- Inquisitive with good problem solving /analytical skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with confidence to influence at all levels
- Ability to handle and effectively control multiple tasks to a high standard, within specific timescales and react to changing priorities or conflicting deadlines
- Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

In addition, it would be great if you had

- Experience in pricing and claims analysis
- Experience in supporting insurance policy and claims processing systems
- Detailed knowledge of the business and operational processes in the insurance sector
- Database and programming packages, for example SAS
- Experience working within an Insurance environment
