Our client are looking to appoint a well versed Supplier Quality Engineer to support their business operations centring around supplier quality.

Striving to exceed customer expectations and working proactively to identify and resolve issues with supplier performance, you will play a critical part in the companies growth and delivery of outstanding customer experience.


As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for co-ordinating the QA functions inspection of parts supplied to site and assessing supplier performance.

You will work closely with suppliers to resolve identified issues and improve site supply for the long term.

Other areas of responsibility for the Supplier Quality Engineer will be:

• Creation of Supplier Audits schedule - prioritising outsourced service providers (API requirement)

• Carry out supplier audits/surveillance to schedule (in conjunction with new supplier procedure)

• Create supplier improvement plans

• Supplier NCR's

• Quality based Supplier feedback in the moment it happens (NCR's including notes for improvement)

• Analysis of supplier ratings

• Review NCR data and subsequent non planned vendor assessments (process confirmation - checking root cause analysis)

• Compilation of Root cause analysis worksheets (5 why's, 8D's, Practical Problem Solving) for any issues found - where required

• Supervision of QC inspectors


To be successful in this role you will:

• Be experienced in supplier quality

• Ideally accredited in auditing against quality standards

• Come from a manufacturing background

• Possess experience of outsourced manufacturing

• Strong IT skills and experience generating reports on supplier performance to inform subsequent discussions.
