Purchasing Assistant

£20’000 P/A

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join one of the fasted growing companies within the Hull area.

You will be required to:

Handle inbound and outbound calls to suppliers and internal departments
Answering queries from internal and external stakeholders
Updating databases and completing analysis of data
Liaise with internal departments
Be competent when using Microsoft Office and A B C analysis or similar to identify high risk suppliers/ product lines
Have a knowledge, willingness and desire to work with 5s and other Lean Manufacturing principles
Have a knowledge of KANBAN or JIT stock systems
Complete other office duties
Work as part of a team

Excellent communication skills
Show creative innovation on systems and SOP’s
Self-motivated and a self-starter, capable of developing a day to day work plan
Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Ability to work as part of a team
Confident telephone manner
willingness and ability to embrace change and a passion to learn
Adaptability to surroundings, office based and factory based

Day working hours between Monday to Friday with good, clean working conditions and with free parking available. This will be working within a manufacturing NON food environment.
