Our client, an entrepreneurial finance software start-up, is seeking a consultative sales person to join them in their modern offices based in Manchester City Centre.

Working alongside the Founder, the ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, with excellent fact finding skills and a desire to build their own desk and take ownership of the sales cycle.

The role requires significant interaction with clients, which may be face-to-face or over the telephone.

Main Job Responsibilities:

- Understanding customer’s diverse, specific needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs

- Cold calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings

- Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow up calls

- Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently

- Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and assisting with technical queries

- Managing workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals

- Contributing to team or progress meeting to update and inform colleagues

Required Candidate Skills:

- A minimum of 6-12 months sales experience ideally from a consultative background

- An understanding of R&D (Research and Development) is beneficial but not essential

- Self-motivated with a desire to source their own leads as well as convert “hot” leads

- Someone who understands and enjoys working within a start-up environment

- Educated to degree level preferred but not essential

Salary: £20k - £25k basic with monthly commissions of £1k to £1.5k dependant of performance

Location: Manchester City Centre

Hours: 9am – 5pm (Flexible start times) Mon-Fri
