Our client is seeking both a Project and Programme Manager and a Client Project Manager from a Highways (Civil Engineering) background for a duration of 6 months plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project and Programme Manager – This role sits within the delivery team and will be responsible for delivering capital projects. Candidates should have experience in the delivery of highway schemes of varying scale, this would be through the feasibility, design and possible construction phases. The successful candidate would be required to manage those commissions through the existing supply chain. Candidates should be HNC/HND/Degree qualified in a civil engineering subject.
Client Project Manager - To assist the Programme Lead in undertaking duties covering the management of Pinch Point, Upgrade and RRS programmes. The Client Project Manager will be required to manage the programmes in accordance with internal protocols and standard project management procedures. The tasks include project management and direction, management of consultants, financial reporting, liaison with stakeholders and colleagues. The role includes assistance with specialist RRS activities; ensuring on going management and governance of road restraint systems associated with the motorway and trunk roads. There will be a requirement for the post holder to meet with stakeholders regularly in Mid Wales to discuss progress and attend meetings. Candidates should be HNC/HND/Degree qualified in a civil engineering subject. Ideally, candidates should hold a professional qualification (IEng/CEng)
