Teacher of History – Carlisle – Part time – April 2019

A ‘Good’ secondary school in Carlisle are seeking a Teacher of History, who has experience of delivering, marking and assessing all aspects of the History curriculum at KS3. The department are looking for a teacher who is passionate, engaging and enthusiastic about History.

* History Teacher

* Carlisle

* Mainly KS3 with elements of KS4

* Part time (2 days a week)

* Pay £100-£165 per day (depending on experience)

* April 2019

* NQTs, RQTs and QTS

History Role:

* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging History lessons to inspire and engage KS3 with elements of KS4 for the suitable candidate

* Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development

* Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures

* Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.

History Requirements:

* Have a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification

* Has recent experience of teaching History up to KS4

* Be an inspirational role model; committed to their own learning and that of others

* Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
