Cost Performance Analyst, FP&A Global Finance
A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ a Cost Performance Analyst, FP&A Global Finance based in London.
Hours 35 per week/permanent.

The Cost Performance Analyst, FP&A Global Finance will be part of the Global Finance team, which is integral to the organisation’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. The global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward-looking analysis, accuracy, efficiency, and control to frame and influence business decisions. This team is an integral component of the Business Finance community, reporting into the Regional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.
The Cost Performance Analyst, FP&A Global Finance will be part of the team that provides a full business partnering service to both regional and country (UK) functional managers to all levels which involves the development of a robust understanding of all financial aspects of the function to enable the provision of insightful analysis to both function and group stakeholders. They will provide an entity wide view of costs across all businesses and functions to bring better control and understanding of the cost base and the activities will include deep dive analysis on particular aspects of the cost base, issuing central guidance on cost reporting and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management, Exco and Board.
The Cost Performance Analyst, FP&A Global Finance will form part of a team reporting to the Head of Global Functions Finance Europe and will support the lead cost performance manager in the region, providing a mix of regular management reporting, forward looking projections and ad hoc analysis. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to develop their analytical, communication and presentation skills as well as gain a thorough understanding of the entire cost base of the region.
The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following attributes:
- Excellent systems skills (including use of TM1, Excel, Words, Power Point and the management of static data in finance systems).
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
- Experience of an Annual Operating Plan process would be an advantage.
- Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.
- A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting.
