Sewell Wallis have partnered with a highly acquisitive and successful business based near Castleford in their search for a dynamic and self-driven Finance Manager. As their Finance Manager you will manage their largest division and will become the number one finance person for that area of the organisation, therefore becoming a part of some key commercial and strategic decisions.

This is a fast paced business that goes through a significantly high number of acquisitions every year and they therefore require someone who comes from a fast paced environment and someone who can cope well under pressure. You will report into an impressive and ambitious Group FC and work closely with a motivational FD, therefore career development will play a key part within this position.

As the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include the following:-

-Producing the monthly management accounts for the division including cash flow forecasting and analysis

-Production of P&L and balance sheets, identifying any improvements

-Work with the Directors to prepare divisional budgets, ensuring the operational team have a full understanding of financial expectations

-Business partnering across the organisation with Divisional Directors to ensure accurate reporting and cost control

-Looking at margin improvements and growth opportunities

-Managing a team of a small team of ledger clerks and a part qualified individual, developing them so you can start delegating your work load

-Ensure the transactional processes of accounts payable and receivable are being performed in a timely manner

-Support with wider projects within the business looking at future acquisitions and new system implementations

-Process improvements through the division

You will be a qualified accountant who is self-motivated and up for a challenging and interesting new role. You must have a strong background within management accounting and you will have managed people in the past.

The hiring manager for this post is a huge selling point and you must therefore be highly ambitious as they are looking for someone who will eventually take over their position in the future.
